Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) 2 Days (16 hours)
TECC is a set of best practice treatment guidelines for trauma care in the high-threat prehospital environment. These guidelines are built upon critical lessons learned by US and allied military forces over the past 16 years of conflict.
They are appropriately modified to address the specific needs of civilian populations and civilian First Responders.
This includes pediatric, geriatric, and special needs patients as well as considerations for underlying medical conditions common in a civilian population, and limitations of civilian EMS and the varied types of threats that all Responders face. Upon successful completion you will receive 16 hours of con-ed from NAEMT.
TECC Refresher (8 hours)
TECC is a very high value, knowledge rich, skill intensive course and a refresher course is the perfect opportunity to come back and hone your effectiveness. Like going to the range many times and retraining, your TECC skills deserve the same. You may have taken your TECC course elsewhere and just want some more insight and expertise. We have you covered.
TACTICAL FIRST RESPONDER COURSE: TFRC (8Hours)
Basic introduction to Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) and Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) for non-medically trained personnel from patrol officers to SWAT officers/operators. Learn to recognize and treat the three most common causes of preventable death on the battlefield, whether it be overseas or in the streets of the United States. It also includes a comprehensive head-to-toe trauma assessment, and new life-saving measures and products that are currently available.
EMERGENCY CARE FOR CRITICALLY INJURED OFFICERS OR VICTIMS: (16 Hours)
Includes the first 8 hours of (TFRC) above course as well as multiple techniques for moving casualties, long bone splinting, sensory deprived physical assessments, and finally, copious scenario based exercises.
FIRST AID and CPR/AED: (3-7 Hours depending on needs) Current American Heart Association (AHA) First Aid and/or CPR course with or without AED for adult, child, and infants. For anyone who needs a course completion card to meet job, regulatory or other requirements.
ACTIVE SHOOTER & INTENTIONAL MASS
CASUALTY: (2 Hours)
For all civilians who would like to know how to respond during one of these events. See what is recommended by the US Department of Homeland Security and most importantly how to medically treat casualties.
WILDERNESS FIRST AID: WFA (16 Hours)
Course designed for those situations where rapid care is not readily available. Learn splinting techniques and how to treat life-threatening bleeding, penetrating trauma and shock. YES, this course is approved for Troop Leaders and you will receive a course completion card recognized by the Boy Scouts of America (BSA)!
BASIC FIREARMS ENHANCEMENT SKILLS : (4 Hours)
For those who have current CCW permits. Designed to enhance basic skills including: weapon familiarization and safety, stance, presentation, load, unload, reload and finally employment from the concealed position.
